Pittsburgh Intermodal Terminals is part of the Port Ambridge Industrial Park, Ambridge, PA at Mile Post 16.5 RDB on the Ohio River.

Facility

Pittsburgh Intermodal Terminals (PIT) is one of the largest river transfer and storage terminals in the Port of Pittsburgh, capable of handling long products such as beams and piling, wire, bar, ingots and flat rolled coils. Also handled are lumber and building products, machinery, supersacs, and palletized goods.  Situated on 37 acres with 450,000 square feet of inside warehouse space, the terminal transloads a variety of products to and from barge, rail and truck. Value added services are also available such as welding, fabricating and cutting to length.

Location

PIT is 16 miles northwest of the City of Pittsburgh and 13 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport. Located on PA Route 65, PIT has easy access to major truck routes I-79, I-70, I-80, and the PA Turnpike servicing the whole northeastern portion of the United States. Because of PIT's geographic location  it is also close to the major destinations in eastern Ohio such as Cleveland and northern West Virginia.

Truck Services

At PIT we have always recognized the importance of turning trucks around quickly. We try to keep truck loading/unloading to less than an hour. We load all types of trucks and high capacity trailers.

Logistics

PIT can arrange truck service or an all-inclusive handling + delivered price for local drayage to/from origins and receivers.
